About

“Hello, I’m Gigio Attanasio, a Senior Product Design Manager at Workhuman, a company that helps businesses create a more human workplace. I have over 18 years of experience in designing digital products and services, with a focus on user experience, interaction design, and usability.

I have worked for various industries, such as e-commerce, education, entertainment, and social media. I have also led and mentored teams of designers, developers, and researchers, helping them deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals.

I decided to be a mentor because I believe in sharing my knowledge and skills with others who are passionate about design and want to learn more. I enjoy helping people grow and achieve their potential, as well as learning from their perspectives and experiences. I think mentoring is a rewarding and fulfilling way to contribute to the design community and make a positive impact on the world.

What led you to the world of UX?

“When I was 10 years old, I aspired to become an inventor. I feel that the realm of UX has allowed me to realise this dream, either by creating something entirely new or by enhancing what already exists.

Before delving into UX, I began my journey in the video game industry as a sound designer. From there, I transitioned to web design, then to mobile apps, and ultimately found my passion in UX. My drive towards UX stemmed from a desire to better people’s lives, assisting them in accomplishing their tasks and bridging the gaps in their experiences.

This is the essence I wish to impart to my mentees. UX is more than just a “cool” concept; it’s a mission to elevate the quality of life for individuals.”

What advice do you have for future mentees and UX designers?
