About
“I’m Alessia, Italian by birth and Dubliner by choice. In 2011, I began studying Multimedia Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Urbino, Italy. It was during those years that I discovered the world of web design, which led me to pursue further studies—first in coding, and then in visual design.
I started my IT career in Italy, working as a full-stack front-end developer and UI designer for a local company. Later, I moved to Dublin to pursue a career in UX Design. I began as a mid-level UX designer right out of college and worked my way up to my current role as a Principal UX Designer.
I’ve had the opportunity to work for a few Dublin-based companies, where I learned from talented mentors who greatly influenced my career. I’m incredibly grateful for the guidance I received, and now, I aspire to become a mentor myself, empowering new generations and learning from their fresh perspectives.”

Why UX?
“I first discovered my passion for the web during my freshman year of college back in 2011, and since then, I’ve been drawn to the world of IT. From early on, I envisioned myself as a professional who could bridge the gap between code and visuals, crafting websites that serve businesses and individuals without compromising on either functionality or aesthetics.
This vision led me to study both fields and when I discovered UX, I realised I had found my true calling. That passion brought me to Dublin, where I returned to college to deepen my knowledge in the field.”
What advice do you have for future mentees and UX designers?
“If I could share one piece of advice with peers and the next generation, it would be this: Don’t worry too much about making the ‘perfect’ next step. It might not be the right one forever, and you might have doubts along the way—but every step will bring you closer to the best version of yourself.”
